Shanita “Shay” Snowden is the Founder and CEO of The Real Effect HQ, a purpose-driven organization focused on leadership, education, strategy, advocacy, organizational development, and community impact. Through consulting, speaking engagements, educational initiatives, and transformational programming, Shay helps individuals and organizations move from vision to execution while creating sustainable and meaningful growth.

Built on the foundation of “Systems. Strategy. Real Impact.”, The Real Effect HQ was created to empower leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and communities through practical solutions, authentic leadership, and purpose-centered development. Shay’s work bridges the gap between inspiration and implementation by combining strategic thinking with real-world experience and impactful communication.

Shay’s professional background includes years of experience with Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC), where she developed expertise in operations, systems, compliance, organizational processes, communication, and leadership support. Her corporate experience strengthened her passion for helping organizations improve efficiency, strengthen infrastructure, and create systems that support long-term success and accountability.

Academically, Shay has pursued advanced education in business and accounting, combining leadership principles with analytical and strategic problem-solving. Her educational background includes studies in business administration, accounting, and forensic accounting, which continue to influence her work in organizational strategy, operational improvement, advocacy, and leadership development.

Beyond business and speaking, Shay is deeply passionate about personal growth, community empowerment, faith, education, and creating spaces where people feel encouraged to evolve into their best selves. She is also a proud member of Toastmasters International, further demonstrating her commitment to communication excellence, leadership development, and impactful public speaking.

Outside of her professional work, Shay enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, Jurni, who serves as one of her greatest inspirations and motivations. Together, they share moments rooted in love, growth, creativity, and family. Shay is also a proud dog mom to her furry companion, Gucci, who brings personality, joy, and balance to her busy life.
